Taking Care of our Garden

1st grade students are wonderful gardeners!  In small groups, the students will be taking care of the LS science/1st grade shade garden this year.  We started with a small group of 6 students who pulled weeds, swept up leaves and clipped shrubs.  It was a wonderful start to our year-long mission to be good stewards of our environment and of our school community.  The garden is a certified National Wildlife Federation Schoolyard Habitat so we're going to make sure it's an inviting place for animals that visit the garden in search of shelter and food.
