First and second grade had a wonderful trip on Thursday to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. All week we got together in small groups of mixed first and second graders listening to many of his wonderful stories. When we witnessed the exhibit we saw many of the originals of these great picture books!
We began with a lovely picnic lunch across the street from the Perelman Building where the exhibit was.
We also saw an amazing exhibit called CandyCoated Wonderland. We loved the playful and incredibly creative style and approach of this artist named Candy.
So interesting, whimsical and fun! And, look, butterflies!
We also visited the Designed for the Modern Child exhibit.
